The Pre-Sales Carrier Services Specialist is responsible for managing the pre- sales process by performing the following duties:

  • Manages, monitors, and responds to client design and pricing requests
  • Engaging appropriate technical resources where necessary
  • Works within the tools and processes established by the organization for the management of the sales processes. Strong focus on Verizon VRD, PRM & Proquest systems   
  • Works with the sales team to collect information required to design, price and create proposals for new and existing clients.
  • Matches client purchase orders to statement of works, pricing tools, pricing quotation, mini proposals, and formal proposals.
  • Converts quotations into orders.
  • Creates the initial documentation package that is forwarded to Implementation team for order processing.
  • Forwards contract documentation packages to Carousel’s Implementation team.
  • Ensures a smooth flow of information to sales Clients.
  • Works with Carrier Implementation to resolve order, billing and disconnection related problems.
  • Sends out client contract expiration notifications with new contract information.
  • Maintains quarterly contact with existing Carrier Base accounts
  • Completes quarterly business review with Carrier Base accounts
  • Uncovers opportunities to upsell Carrier Products and services within Carrier Base accounts.
  • Attends face to face sales meeting to help position and sell solutions



Technical Skills:

  • Proven experience managing and monitoring the sales process.
  • Intermediate to advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  
  • Strong Telecommunications knowledge and familiarity of various Telco solutions.
  • Experience with Verizon business solutions a plus          

Business Skills:

  • Possesses effective communication skills to ensure smooth transition of information between departments.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret request for proposals, requests for information, vendor web site, general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures.
  • Experience creating quotations and proposals, general business correspondence, and general correspondence via e-mail. 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, sales team members, finance team members, support team members, vendors, and clients
