Responsibilities

The Senior Engineer will be directly responsible for supporting successful implementation efforts across the Carousel unified product/service portfolio. This role provides consulting services to clients and the Sales team to help drive sales and is a technical leader in post-sales engagements. It is essential that the individual have a deep understanding of the environment:  technologies used, methods employed, and work patterns within technology organizations. The candidate must possess the ability to articulate a proposed strategic vision for the customer solutions, as well as the core vendor strategic visions, competitive analysis, industry best practices and industry trends. Strong team and collaboration interaction skills are necessary.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Will design, plan and execute on migration and production level deployment services and architecture for Skype for Business/Lync projects.
  • Will lead and conduct needs assessments, product demonstrations, evaluations, and proof of concepts to support customer sales cycle.
  • Lead customer discovery/qualification calls to support the development of Statement of Work & Quote for Skype for Business/Lync

Provide strategic oversight, design and architectural standards for the product offerings around Microsoft O365 E3/E5 Suite, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft Skype for Business/ Lync and SQL

  • Responsible for overall plan and execution for post sales customer implementation / migration of Skype for Business/Lync and other Unified Communications Voice and Video platforms. Conducts presales customer engagements supporting Skype for Business/Lync Migrations and Greenfield sites Collaborate with and provide oversight of partners, project teams and Junior engineers to ensure flawless project execution. Overall focus of this role will be 85% Post Sales and 15% Presales

Qualifications

  • Minimum of seven years’ experience implementing MS Skype for Business, Exchange, O365 and Active Directory  projects.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and resources towards a common set of objectives
  • Experienced “consulting skills” to complement technical acumen
  • Knowledge of business operations principles
  • Data gathering skills when working across a customer’s IT and “C Level” groups; leading to a top level solution design
  • Experience in solution design and development of Statement of Works to define scope and investment for each engagement
  • Organizational and communications skills; development and execution of project plan for each customer’s Statement of Work
  • Knowledge of current IT challenges/initiatives (E.G. Cloud, Virtualization, SDN, Mobility, BYOD, UC)
  • Professional vendor level certifications preferred: MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, MCTS

  • Travel typically within 200 miles to presentations or demos.  Must physically be able to set up demo systems and deliver the demonstrations.
