    Responsibilities

    • Drive the successful fulfillment and completion of sales opportunities ensuring quality assurance and extraordinary customer satisfaction. 
    • Provide support to account managers, project managers, finance department, and clients by providing high-quality sales deliverables in an expeditious and efficient manner. 
    • Handle internal tasks and research for account executives with respect to follow up, research, client communication, internal communication, issue resolution.
    • Responsible for creating Bills of Materials (BoM) and services pricing, writing proposals, and performing research on various technical and non-technical topics (LAN, WAN, Wireless, Unified Communications, Security, and other technology solutions by Cisco Systems and various other leading manufacturers sold and implemented by Carousel).
    • Communicates with all involved resources (Carousel, client, and partners) to obtain and/or create all necessary solution components and then combine them into a quality client deliverable in support of the sales cycle.
    • Maintains knowledge of all technology solutions offerings and attains certifications, as required, by Carousel.
    • Analyzes and validates opportunities and the technical solution required.
    • Creates service pricing using multiple pricing tools.
    • Generates lease pricing and alternative financing options (i.e. PO financing) for quotes and proposals.
    • Maintains a complete understanding of terms and conditions that will be incorporated into a proposal.
    • Utilizes multiple web tools to complete product configuration and pricing, product ordering, deal registrations, as well as to perform other support tasks.
    • Performs non-technical and technical research on multiple vendors’ solutions and analyzes information gathered to provide pre-sales technical support. Research can include (but is not limited to) EOL/EOS information; products’ compatibility; and products’ functionality comparison.
    • Works with finance to resolve credit and finance related problems.
    • Communicates with vendor partners in order to better facilitate the sales process on Carousel’s behalf. This includes, but not limited to updating price lists as required, and, being aware of and informing the entire sales group on special promotions.
    • Reviews quotes/proposals with clients.
    • Assists with improving existing processes, tools, and templates.
    • Participates in vendor training as required.

     

    Qualifications

    • BA or BS Degree
    • Minimum of 2 years in a sales role or sales support experience.
    • Ability to handle customer calls and requests in sales representative’s absence.
    • Minimum of a two-year college degree preferred or equivalent experience.
    • Must possess positive attitude and willingness to succeed.
    • Strong organizational and arithmetic skills, as well as problem solving agility also required.
    • Ability to work as a team member, handle large quantities of information while maintaining a high level of accuracy, multi-tasking, respond to rapid change, perform duties with accuracy and with a strong degree of urgency, prioritize and perform work with limited supervision.
    • Knowledge of professional, effective telephone techniques and customer care.
    • Must also be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), with the ability to create quotes, proposals and contracts using formulas for pricing.
    • Candidate must be a team player, leadership skills an asset.
    • Experience with FinancialForce, TigerPaw, SalesLogix and SalesForce preferred, but not required.

    These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.  Physical Requirements of this role may include the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.  While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is often required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, stage configure and transport equipment, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
