    Responsibilities

    This is an off-shift role supporting our Managed Services organization.

     

    As an Associate Engineer you will be expected to ramp up quickly on some of the latest technologies the IT Industry had to offer:

    • Successfully participate and engage in extensive Carousel Industries training program.
    • Successfully obtain advanced certifications CCNA, CCNA-Voice, MCITP/MCSA, VCP within first year.
    • Cisco Routers/Voice Gateways/ Cisco LAN Switching/ VLANs
    • Understanding of Routing protocols RIP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF
      • Cisco IP Phones
      • Cisco ASA Firewalls/ Other related Security Appliances
      • Familiarity with Cisco CLI and the OSI model
      • Competency with IP Subnetting
      • Familiarity with Windows Server Configuration
      • Knowledge of Active Directory (AD) Design
      • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Implementation
      • Working knowledge of VMware or other Virtualization technologies
    • Understanding of Storage Area Network (SAN) technology

    Qualifications

    Education: B.A./B.S.                          

     

    Years of Experience: 1-2

     

    CCNA Certification is: Preferred

    MCITP Certification is: Preferred

    MCSA Certification is: Preferred

    VCP Certification is: Preferred

     

    Technical Skills:

    • Ability to self-study and achieve high academic results
    • Experience with technical writing and documentation
    • Hands on experience within a technology support or implementation environment
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Technologies: Active Directory, Exchange, Server 2008 R2 and 2012, Lync, etc.
    • Working knowledge of Cisco switching and routing and voice, technologies.
    • Working knowledge of Virtualization and Data Center technologies including storage.
    • Successful experience in a customer service environment.        

    Business Skills:

    • The confidence to seek out help from co-workers or leadership.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Positive work ethic and the desire to work as a team to develop and deliver the best engineering practices in the industry.
    • Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
