Experienced networking professional with a command of CISCO technologies who can ensure the security and integrity of networks for our customers. Work with the relevant technologies for switches, routers and firewalls, layer-three routing and the related protocols. Must be Cisco certified in CCNA/CCNP. Up to 40% domestic travel is required. Must have solid skills in oral and written communication, coupled with proven customer-facing skills. Representative duties include: apply an advanced working knowledge of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, switches, routers, firewalls and internetworking technologies; lead structured trainings and contribute to the Company's internal technical knowledge base; serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert for customer engagements such as WAN encapsulation, spanning tree, routing protocols, port configurations, passwords, and troubleshooting; effect network implementation, including physical installation, cabling and testing, as well as documentation and confirmation of status and completion; read, analyze, and interpret relevant business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations; define technical problems, collect the relevant data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret a wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram format, dealing with relevant variables, both abstract and concrete; prepare reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; and effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, team members, and customers.
Minimum requirements are: Bachelor of Science degree (or an equivalent degree) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronics Engineering, plus 6 years of experience in the position offered or in relevant network engineering or consultant role(s).
Must have: proven advanced knowledge of CISCO switching and routing infrastructure, and the related layer-three routing protocols; verifiable CISCO certification in CCNA/CCNP; proven expertise working with the relevant technologies for security and firewall, endpoint protection, web security, and email security; proven ability to work effectively with LAN/WAN capacity management; and solid skills in oral and written communication, coupled with proven customer-facing skills. Must be willing to travel to domestic customer sites up to 40% of the time.
