    Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    This position provides the customer with a dedicated resource to assist with meeting established business objectives. As an extension of the customer’s staff, the dedicated resource will be responsible for identifying and meeting their assigned customer’s needs though providing service and support on the applicable equipment and products that aligns with Carousel’s high standards of customer support and focus.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist the organization with pulling cable and troubleshooting service interruptions in the Avaya infrastructure.
    • Work as part of a team to find the optimal approach for implementing new lines
    • Make use of the tools at your disposal to respond to, and resolve trouble tickets
    • Work as directed by the customer to provide the agreed upon support on the customer’s equipment.
    • Perform diagnostics and follow comprehensive troubleshooting steps to determine the root cause and provide documentation on the solution, when necessary.
    • Install or replace equipment as directed 
    • Perform other duties as assigned to meet customer expectations and business objectives.

     

    Qualifications

    Experience with and the ability to provide break/fix support, complete moves, adds, and changes, and provide administrative support for:

    • Knowledge of copper terminations and ability to troubleshoot.
    • Knowledge of fiber terminations including single-mode and multi-mode, Experience with air blown fiber terminations and various components including cabling, tubes, LIU's, TDU's and connectors.
    • Knowledge and experience with the following test equipment: Telephone Butt Set, Digital Multi-meter, Fluke Test Equipment, OTDRS, Sidekick Meters, ExFO fiber detectors, Visual Fault locators
    • Experience tracing cabling to troubleshoot outages
    • Experience with installing and troubleshooting paging equipment
    • Experience with manhole work
    • Ability to troubleshoot circuits

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Applicable certifications or technical degree or a minimum 2 years of experience in a technical role.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work independently as well in a team environment.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Willingness to provide personal information and submit to background checks, drug screening, and health inquires as required to obtain security clearance for assigned customer.
