Responsibilities

As an important member of the Revenue Operations Team, the Senior Capture Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of the Complex Deal team’s processes and procedures for qualified opportunities.. This role is both strategic and highly networked, working closely with various organizational departments such as Sales, Engineering, Customer Success, Product Management, Marketing, Finance, and Legal to shorten the sales cycle and enable qualified opportunities to thrive within the Customer Engagement Process (CEP).

The Senior Capture Manager will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of timely, accurate, and professional responses to RFPs. This role will also provide engagement and compliance support for international opportunities, opportunities and deals that are “stuck” in process, and contractual support for ‘aaS’ financial deals.

The Senior Capture Manager will possess strong people management and communication skills (both written and verbal). This role helps increase the adoption rate of integrated offers, reduces risk on complex opportunities, maximizes margin, and improves the win rate for NWN by instituting best practices around how we engage with customers on complex opportunities.

This role will report to the SVP Revenue Operations.

Essential, key job responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to collaborate and maintain relationships with key organizational resources to support the development of a winning strategy for qualified opportunities submitted to the Complex Deal team.
  • Provide structure and guidance to consistently enable strategic opportunities to thrive within the organization’s value framework.
  • Manage proposal-generating projects, creating comprehensive responses that will increase the company’s effectiveness at winning new business and retaining current clients.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental resources within organization to ensure timely responses to RFP questions and aligning standard responses with common proposal questions.
  • Engage vendor and partner ecosystem and be recognized as a subject matter expert, strategic thinker, and value-added resource to the sales organization on international opportunities.
  • Collaborate with and provide ongoing developmental support and guidance to Proposal Manager role as required.
  • Support the development and maintenance of key performance indicators (KPI) required to effectively monitor and analyze the performance of the Complex Deal team.
  • Identify areas of improvement to better align the Complex Deal team’s process and procedures with the Customer Engagement Process (CEP).
  • Educate organization on Complex Deal team process and procedures when required.

Additional job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist SVP of Revenue Operations with special projects.

Qualifications

The following are minimum qualifications and requirements required for this role:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with dynamic priorities and demands.
  • Exceptional leadership and sound decision-making skills.
  • Strong public speaker.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, predict, and remedy solutions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of business processes.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Finance, Marketing, Management or 7+ years equivalent work experience.

Travel:  Up to 10% travel to team locations, training, or business meetings
