Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED and one year experience in telecommunications cabling copper (CAT 5e, 6, and 6A), fiber optics installation, and termination. Familiarity with BICSI, TIA/EIA, or NEC standards.
Certificates and Licenses: Must have a valid Washington State driver’s license and current Washington State Low Voltage Journeyman electrician license or electrical trainee card. Have enough approved 06 hours to be able to test for the 06 Limited Energy exam within 6 months of being hired.
Computer Skills: Computer proficiency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Accurate typing, 10-key, and data entry skills.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blueprints, work instructions, software manuals; ability to write routine business reports and verbally communicate in a professional manner.
Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Additional Qualifications: Access to reliable transportation and basic telecom tools, including snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, and punch down tool.
